Virtual Mailbox
A Virtual Mailbox with a real Sammamish street address
A virtual mailbox gives you a real street address at our Sammamish store — not a PO box — and puts your mail on your phone. We receive each piece, photograph the envelope and upload it to your account the same day. From there you decide, item by item: open and scan the contents, forward it anywhere in the world, hold it for pickup, shred it, or recycle it unopened.
We run our virtual mailboxes on Anytime Mailbox, so what you get is a proper iOS, Android and web portal rather than an email thread — every item timestamped, searchable and archived. You never have to be in Sammamish, or in Washington, to use it.
It suits people who travel or work remotely, households that split the year between two places, and any business that would rather not publish a home address on a website, an invoice or a state filing. A street address is also what banks, lenders and Google Business Profile expect to see; a PO box is frequently rejected outright.
If you live nearby and would rather collect your own mail, our physical mailbox rental is the simpler and cheaper answer. Plenty of customers start with one and move to the other — call us and we will tell you honestly which one fits.

Questions we get asked
- How is this different from renting a mailbox?
- A rented mailbox is a physical box here in the store that you come in and empty yourself. A virtual mailbox is the same street address, but we handle the mail for you and you read it on your phone from anywhere. If you are local and in town most weeks, mailbox rental is usually the better value.
- What do I need to sign up?
- USPS requires every mailbox holder — physical or virtual — to complete Form 1583 and provide two forms of ID, one of them a government-issued photo ID. We have a notary in the store, so we can complete the whole thing at the counter. If you are not local, Anytime Mailbox walks you through completing and notarizing the form online.
- Can I use it as my business address?
- Yes — that is one of the most common reasons people take one. It gives you a street address for your website, invoices and listings instead of your home. Washington does separately require a registered agent with a physical in-state address for a registered company, so check with whoever files your paperwork.
- How quickly is mail scanned?
- Envelopes are photographed and uploaded the same business day they arrive. Open-and-scan requests are turned around on our next working pass, usually the same or the following day.
- What happens to packages?
- We sign for and hold them, from any carrier, and they appear in your account like anything else. You can have them forwarded on or collect them at the counter.
